I had photographed Ethan – but, this weekend, I got to watch him be big brother to little Cole. And, what a pair they make! There was so much life in their living room. This family knows how to play together – and I loved capturing a bit of it Saturday. Thank you all!
bob and nancy and family | wasilla, alaska
Jon and his brothers invited us to help celebrate their parents’ 40th wedding anniversary, by photographing the family gathered for the occasion. What a privilege, to be part of honoring Bob and Nancy and the uniquely beautiful adventure that their incredible marriage has been – and continues to be. And, I mean that with all of my heart. I am awed by your commitment – and the joy you take in loving one another well – through hard things. Your marriage is such a rare and inspiring example to the rest of us, Bob and Nancy. Thank you all!
- Great stuff!
jon and corie | wasilla, alaska
Kristian and I had such a great time photographing their incredible wedding in Virginia. So, of course, I couldn’t wait for their winter session out here in Alaska! And, winter is exactly what we got: it was very cold the day we met up for pictures. But, we all braved the climate – and I’m so glad we did. Thank you, Jon and Corie!
- Maybe you should pay them to be your models. First their wedding and now THIS! WOW! Great images. I think you did such a great job, I see "steam" in an image or two. Beautiful. You have talent!
greg and kim | red shirt lake, alaska
Greg and Kim love adventure! So, an adventurous wedding was just an extension of who they are. A week ago Saturday, we landed (literally) on Red Shirt Lake, where – together with their family – they’d arranged a sweet spot on the lake to commit their lives to one another. It had to be colder than negative fifteen degrees that afternoon. So, their outdoor ceremony was – yes – brief and chilly… but simply beautiful. I’ve interspersed here a few of my wedding day favorites with the images we created a week prior at a local barn. Greg and Kim, I hope you’ll find that marriage is your favorite adventure yet.
- These photos are amazing given the conditions you were shooting in! Very nice! She looks stunning in her gown. I love the colors with the barn, toboggan, sled and tree with her hair, dress and back with his dark suit. ALASKAN!!
- I echo "Your Biggest Fan". I deem myself your Second Biggest Fan. Amazing and gorgeous images in freezing conditions. I love them all and especially love the last shot you set up. Awesome!
